Shidokan (Group that trains in the Samurai Way) was founded by Kancho Yoshiji Soeno (The Kyokushin Tiger). It is system of combat based on practical fighting techniques. Always evolving, Shidokan brings in techniques from the most effective combats systems known. It is also known as "The Triathlon of Martial Arts" , where competitors fight under 3 disciplines in a single bout (Bare Knuckle Karate, Thai Boxing, and Grappling). Shihan Eddie Yoshimura is the founder of the Shidokan Triathlon Tournament. This event has served as a laboratory over the years for real fighting Karate. Shidokan is a Mixed Martial Art.
Shidokan combines elements of traditional martial arts with mixed martial arts, providing students with culture, physical conditioning, health and self-defense.

Shidokan is a practical style of Karate. While many styles train in theory, through our fighters we are able to experience a functional martial arts style. Our fighters have competed in full contact Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. U.S. Our U.S. Headquarters are headed by experienced law enforcement professionals who keep us up to date on crime which allows us to keep reality in our training.
